The information I learn from customers is essential to provide your shopping experience at TheStringGuy.com. Here are the types of information I gather.
- Information You Give To The Guy: I receive and store any information you enter on this Web site or give me in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of my features. I use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, improving product offers, and communicating with you.
- Automatic Information: I receive and store certain types of information when you interact with us. However, you choose the degree of interaction. If you prefer a simple shopping experience, where our site recalls your purchase/shopping history, you will want to log-in and create a user account. To accomplish that, like many Web sites, I use "cookies." TheStringGuy.com also provides a more anonymous shopping experience where you do not have to log in. This will not provide you with previous shopping history in your shopping cart. Either way, it is your choice on how you wish to shop at TheStringGuy.com.
- E-mail Communications: To help me make e-mails more useful and interesting, I often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from TheStringGuy.com if your computer supports such capabilities.
- Information from Other Sources: Information from other sources is not targeted towards you as a shopper at TheStringGuy.com.
Does TheStringGuy.com Share the Information It Receives?
Information about my customers is an important part of this business, and I am not in the business of selling it to others. I fulfill your purchase orders personally. I share customer information only as described below and with subsidiaries TheStringGuy.com, Inc. controls that either are subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.
- Affiliated Businesses I Do Not Control: Your purchase transactions at TheStringGuy.com are handled via reputable third party gateways such as PayPal. You can tell when a third party is involved in your transactions, and I share customer information related to those transactions with that third party.
- Third-Party Service Providers: I employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Delivering packages, sending postal mail, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

- We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, I transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
- It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
TheStringGuy.com reserves the right to allow future third-party advertising and links to other websites. I will not provide any personally identifiable customer information to these advertisers or third-party websites.
Which Information Can I Access?
TheStringGuy.com gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with TheStringGuy.com for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information.
- As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of TheStringGuy.com features.
If you are under 18, by using TheStringGuy.com I assume that it is with the implied consent of a parent or guardian.
What Is Deemed Acceptable Use of TheStringGuy Blog?
You do not have to be a client of the StringGuy to use my Blog. TheStringGuy.com reserves absolute authority over all posts contained in it, and may choose to edit/delete posts at our discretion. Posts that are profain, defamatory, or completely unrelated to the spirit of this website, will be removed. That said, TheStringGuy holds no liability on the expressed views of others as said in their posts.
